Weekend car parking
Parking at our stations is both convenient and secure, with our CCTV cameras and security patrols. Passengers who wish to park overnight at weekends can benefit from specially discounted rates.
The offer applies to customers who use the car park for longer than 24 hours between 06.00 Friday and 23.59 Monday.
Follow these six easy steps to get your low-cost rate:
1. Enter the car park and press the button on the barrier for an entry ticket, as usual.
2. Park up, then go to the Travel Centre to pay for your car parking in advance. Please leave plenty of time to do this before your train departs. Please note, if you don’t go to the Travel Centre in advance, you will have to pay the normal rate, not the discounted one.
3. At the Travel Centre you will need to specify your return date. You will be charged accordingly and your car parking ticket will be validated.
4. Keep your exit ticket safe as no replacements will be given.
5. On return from your weekend trip, go directly to the car park and use your exit ticket to leave.
6. If you miss your return date, the barriers will not let you out and you will need to pay an additional day’s parking at the Pay on Foot Machine.

New barriers: Over the next few months National Express East Coast will be introducing new car park barriers at many of our stations. Please continue to go to the Travel Centre after parking for advice if you are not sure whether your barrier access has been renewed.
